It's been a wild ride since launching our first game on itch almost three years ago. Since then we've talked to and met lots of gamers from all around the world. We've launched Cycle 28 on PC and console, and released a free content update for our first game. For the past month or so Dave and I have been building a Patreon page[www.patreon.com]. We are creating this community for those of you who want to dig deeper into game development and game design. By becoming a patron you'll be getting behind the scenes access to how we make games, becoming involved in our creative process, and getting first access to everything we make - including our games. For example, we have uploaded a playable version of the two dimensional precursor to are first game - along with a video of Dave and I playing it and talking about that project. Over the next few months we will be posting scans of my note books and other stuff, including some early prototypes of Cycle 28. If that sounds like something you would be interested in head over[www.patreon.com] and check out the rewards we offer and pick something which works for you.. Patch Notes 12th June 2018: We just uploaded a patch to fix issues found in the text of the game. We are aware some of these changes may affect earlier efforts by players, and can only apologise for that. The fixes are as follows: Cycle 27. Bergen. January Leaderboard Results and Developer Stream Tuesday 8PM GMT!: Hello everyone! Hope this year is going well for you so far, it sure is for me. Check out last months leaderboards... I finally did it... I topped the monthly leaderboard, and a personal best no less. It was a tense run and those of you who watched our stream would have seen it happen live. Congratulations to Falsemind who came second, it was a close battle from 2nd place down to 5th, things are really heating up. Speaking of streaming, tomorrow night at 8PM GMT we will be doing our monthly developer shoot out. You can set a reminder for that over on twitch[www.twitch.tv]. Will I set a new personal best? Will Dave manage to get into the top 5 for Feb? Join us to find out! . After 5 months, 14 days, 6 hours the Cycle 28 mystery has been solved: The ARG-esque community puzzle involved hunting through ship logs, hidden stories, local libraries, and artisanal coffee videos We are extremely excited to announce that a member the Cycle 28 community, Sam from Australia, has claimed the first ever Pill Bug Golden Ticket! Having solved the mystery of Cycle 28, Sam explained step-by-step how they broke Flight Lieutenant Olivia Bergen - the game’s protagonist - out of the time loop, becoming the first person to see the end credits. Sam was very grateful to many members of the Cycle 28 community in helping them reach the solution. As well as a bunch of Pill Bug goodies and prizes, Sam will get every Pill Bug game we ever make! We’re not going to tell you exactly how the mystery was solved, that’s up to Sam, but we will say all the community’s hard work in finding the codes, cracking the cipher, and keeping each other going made a huge difference. If you aren't part of the discussion already, check out our Discord channel: https://discord.me/pillbugint To celebrate Sam’s achievement, we are putting Cycle 28 and Intelligent Design on sale on Steam from August 27th to September 3rd! This isn’t the end for Cycle 28, of course. Can you figure out how Sam solved the mystery? Will it take you 5 months, 14 days, and 6 hours? And there’s still plenty of competition to be had on the leaderboards. We’ll see you there. . July Monthly Leaderboard Results: It's been quite the summer so far for Cycle 28! Sean and I continue to be amazed by the support players show the game, and July's leaderboard scores are testament to just that. Just look at those numbers! ThereIsNoHope continues their dominance from last month. Both they and Haystack broke the 20k mark in impressive style. And a shout out to streamer Stealelves for the respectable 3rd place finish - go check out their stream for Cycle 28 action, amongst other games. August is well underway, but there's plenty of time to push those scores. Good hunting, Lieutenant! . October Monthly Leaderboard Results: It's been a ghoulishly tough month at the top of the Cycle 28 leaderboards. We've had some truly terrifying scores posted by names that have haunted the game from the beginning. The trail of devastation left by the 5 individuals named below has shocked everyone here at Pill Bug. The screams of their victims were heard across the globe. But who are they? Some already know, some will be eager to find out, and some will have to look away or hide behind a pillow. Here they are... if you're brave enough... Horrifying, aren't they? Also, it was Halloween. Hope you all had a great time!. August Monthly Leaderboard Results: I don't know about you folks, but August had Sean and I asking: will Cycle 28 ever be the same again? We saw the first player break Olivia out of her time loop and see what the end of the game had to offer. You can see the full story here on the Community Hub . And if that wasn't enough to make August extra special, I broke 10k for the first time and did it live on stream! So, without further ado, here's August's top 5: Some familiar names there at the top, and some new players pushing their scores - all great to see! And for those worried we might have lost Sean to the Switch, rest assured he's still doing the best he can. Bless him.
